Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil in Coolest Chic (Purple Shade)

Lately I don't know why but I've become throughly obsessed with colored eyeliners. Before, I try not to wear them so much because I feel kinda self-conscious especially since I have hooded eyelids making them look really obvious once applied. I've had the Essence Coolest Chic eyeliner in purple for quite a few months already, but it's just a few weeks ago that I started wearing it to almost everywhere I go. 

I have realized that purple eyeliner is not that hard to carry. It's not that bright as the Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil in Turquoise so it's really wearable.

Packaging This product is housed in a retractable pencil mechanism. It's really very handy to bring when you're going out of the house. You can even control how long the product is when applying on your lids. Just make sure not to retract the length too long or it might break during application.

Price This costs P149. For me, the price is already very affordable for this kind of product. This is already the cheapest out of all the other brands with retractable eye pencil.

Quality Even with the very affordable price, there is no doubt of its superb quality. Once applied, the color will not rub off easily. It will stay on for the whole day with minimal fading. Not to mention that the colors are very vibrant and will surely brighten up your look instantly.

Final Verdict This product is very good value for your money. I am super in love with these Essence eyeliners, so much so that I purchased all the different colors out there. I will totally repurchase this color when I run out.

Pamana Restaurant at Tagaytay

My friends and I had lunch at Pamana in Tagaytay after our biking activity in Nuvali. My friend treated us there for her birthday. This restaurant serves Filipino cuisine that will surely tickle your taste buds. The place has a lovely ambience and homey feel to it. There were 3 floors of differently designed interiors. We were seated at the third floor with the wonderful overlooking view.

It was my first time to try out this restaurant. I did see Pamana in Boracay as well, but was not able to eat there. It's easy to spot this restaurant as they have this big photo prop outside where you can take your picture in the designated frames.

The staff wanted to seat us at the 1st floor, but we decided that we wanted a nicer view so we requested that we be seated at the 3rd floor with the overlooking view. It's really pretty to take pictures there as the view is wonderful, and you can even see the Taal Volcano from afar.

My friend ordered different types of food for our lunch:

Tinuktok
Minced coconut meat, shrimp and spices wrapped in taro leaves and cooked in coconut milk.

This is my first time to try a dish like this. It has a very strong gata flavor, and the taste is quite exotic. It's definitely something that's worth trying out.

Normally I love Bicol Express, but this was a little too hot for my taste.

The beef meat was a little too hard to chew, and the soup was somewhat bland. We weren't able to finish this order as there was a lot of meat in one order.

Probably my favorite out of all the dishes. I loved the taste of this dish, and it got me getting second servings.

The bill came in a cute little treasure box, and amounted to almost P5,000. That would be about P500 for 1 person as there were 10 of us.

My New Favorite Lipgloss: Revlon Colorburst in Adorned

I have never been a big fan of lipgloss ever since before as my experience with it has always been the worst kind. It would sometimes make my hair cling to my lips, what a sticky situation! Badly enough, it doesn't even stay on my lips for too long. I guess I just wasn't able to find the perfect lipgloss.

What I'm looking for is something not sticky and not drying on the lips, and at the same time I am hoping to find one pigmented enough that will be comparable to a lipstick. I happened to chance upon Temptalia's post regarding Revlon's Colorburst lipgloss in Adorned. It had such a high rating from her that even I got tempted to purchase it. Not to mention that the color is a lovely shade of pink, it immediately got a slot in my to-buy list.

I got really lucky as I was able to get this at a promo this month. You get any shade of Colorburst lipgloss free if you purchase any face product worth P500 from Revlon. I think this promo is still ongoing at any Watson's branch or SM department store. It's really worth it, as it seems that I got two products for the price of one.

Revlon Colorburst in Adorned, priced individually at P575, is a vivid shade of bright fuchsia pink. It might be a little too bright to wear on normal days, but it depends on you if you can pull off this color. It's really opaque and a few swipes can make the color pop out. There are also small purple glitters in the gloss which makes it extra pretty, but it's not really that obvious when applied. The doe foot applicator is also flatly shaped so it can be easier to apply to the lips.

This lipgloss lasts a really long time, even after you finish eating or drinking there will still be a pink stain on your lips. Talk about long-lasting! This can easily beat any high-end lipstick brands out there.

After 6 hours (eating and drinking included), there's still a slight pink stain on my lips.

So that's it! After getting this shade, I kind of have my eye out on the Strawberry shade, a girl can't have too many good glosses.

Warehouse Sale: Up to 70% off on Sebago, Hush Puppies, and Cushe Footwear

I just came from this Warehouse Sale in Binondo a while ago. All Sebago, Hush Puppies, and Cushe shoes are up to 70% off from February 28 to March 9 (9am to 6pm). That's a very good bargain as you won't see these kinds of big discounts at the mall. My brother was able to buy 2 pairs of Sebago shoes, with the total price amounting to less than a pair of Sebago shoes being sold at the mall. 

Actually, there was already this exact sale last year, but I observed that the prices are even cheaper this year. All BPI cardholders can get in free of charge, but the regular entrance fee is P50. You do get a raffle ticket if you pay the entrance fee. I'm just not sure what the prize is as I forgot to ask haha.

Clear Mascara Anyone? The Face Shop's All About Mascara in 02 Clear

Eye makeup is never complete without mascara. However, there are just lazy days when putting on eye makeup is such a drag. Well, of course you can still put mascara on if you like. Why not right? As for me, I'm not too keen on putting on super black mascara during normal days as I might look too parteh parteh, if you know what I mean. 

I was looking for a clear mascara to wear for everyday in the office. I never thought that The Face Shop had this product all along. I guess I never really looked closely. This mascara is priced at P895 here in regular Face Shop stores. It's just that I bought this product at a bazaar last Christmas. A Korean lady was selling authentic Korean cosmetics at a cheaper price so I was able to buy this at P260. 

I simply love the packaging as it's housed in a shimmery cream tube. Ain't it pretty?

All About Mascara in 02 Clear is now my everyday go-to mascara. It has a gel-like texture and it really makes my lashes longer. After I put on this mascara, I just use an eyelash curler, and this helps hold my lashes upwards. I have observed however that it doesn't really do much to make my lashes look thicker. I've been using this for about 2 months now, and the product still hasn't dried up.

This product is just love love love! I will surely repurchase when I run out!

Would you love to try clear mascaras too, or do you prefer the normal black mascaras?

My First MAC Lipstick: Pink Nouveau

I wasn't really very fond of lipsticks before. I had just one or two that I rarely even used. Then came Christmas 2011, my bf suddenly thought of giving me a MAC lipstick as a Christmas gift. He tells me now that it was because I love lipsticks, but I am very sure I did not. Well, not yet as of that moment. I think it was because some of my officemates were really into makeup and lipstick that I told my bf that I wanted to buy a pink lipstick as well. I guess he was very attentive and bought me my own lipstick yay!

So, why did he choose MAC? He said that it's because he heard that MAC is well-known for its makeup. See, even guys know MAC, you can't really go wrong with buying MAC products. The SA recommended the Pink Nouveau shade to him as he was looking for a pink shade. Pink Nouveau is a very popular shade and was always out of stock due to high demand from customers.

This costs P1,000 which may be quite pricey for a lipstick, but if you really love pink and MAC products, then why not? I remember I almost flipped when I learned of the price, but it's okay as it's a gift and the quality is top-notch as it lasts longer than other lipsticks.

Pink Nouveau is a satin shade blue-based pink. It glides on my lips quite easily when applied, and doesn't dry my lips out. Do take note that my lips really don't dry out easily. It can last on my lips longer than 4 hours if I don't eat or drink. I'm just not too happy with the strong vanilla scent that this has as I really prefer non-scented lipsticks.

On me, it looks kind of like a purplish pink. This shade is really tricky to work with. Sometimes, I feel that this color doesn't really suit me, and that it makes my teeth look yellowish. However, I do believe that this shade looks really good on me depending on the outfit I wear.

My Weekend Trip to Nuvali: Fish Feeding and Biking Fun

Hi everyone! How was your weekend so far? I had a really fun weekend as we went to Nuvali and Tagaytay yesterday to celebrate my friend's birthday. I'm not really much of a morning person, but of course we had to set off early for the trip as to make the day productive and to avoid traffic as well.

I've been to Nuvali quite a number of times, but mostly for shopping, eating, and wakeboarding. This time, my friends and I decided to do other activities like fish feeding and biking. 

Fish feeding costs P15 for a pack of pellets. There are a lot of koi fish in the lake, and they all swim like crazy towards the pellets you throw into the water. I like to just look at the fishes swimming as it can be quite relaxing.

Biking costs P60 per hour, and they will lend you a bike and a helmet. It was really fun to go biking again as it's been years since the last time I rode a bike. What a thrill to feel the wind on my hair as I rode around the path. Too bad, it was so hot yesterday that we felt so sticky after the 1 hour ride. It was still fun nonetheless. I was a little disappointed though with the bike I got as my seat was broken, and it kept moving around while I was biking. Also, the brakes are a pain to control as I had to do the reverse biking motion to activate the brakes. If you're going too fast, the brakes are almost useless, and you'll have to use your feet to stop. So just be careful when trying this out.

All in all, it was a fab weekend. How did you spend yours?
